Board Committee Information
The Board of Education oversees district business through committees of the School Board. Committee members are appointed by the Board President.
Mark Johnson - Chair, Kim Kampwirth - Vice-Chair, Debi Stearns - Member
This committee meets to keep the Board current on all matters concerning District facilities.
Evelyn Gleason - Chair, Leslie Jones - Vice-Chair, Kristine Resler - Member
This committee sees that the District does not overspend money, and saves and makes money where and whenever possible. Bills and payroll are reviewed monthly, and the budget is reviewed annually.
Labor Management Committee
Debi Stearns - Chair, Kristine Resler - Vice-Chair, Evelyn Gleason - Member
This committee meets to discuss concerns from either staff members or administration. As the time approaches for contracts to expire, this committee also works with the teachers' union or the support staff union as needed to negotiate a fair agreement for all.
Kristine Resler - Chair, Kim Kampwirth - Vice-Chair, Debi Stearns - Member
This committee meets monthly to review recommendations on all topics pertaining to the employment of personnel. This includes recommendations for new positions, employment, leaves of absence, resignations, and retirement.
Leslie Jones - Chair, Mark Johnson - Vice-Chair, Larry Canning - Member
This committee meets to keep Board Policy current. Deletions, changes, and additions must be made as required by law or as changes occur within the District.
Student Services Committee
Kim Kampwirth - Chair, Mark Johnson - Vice-Chair, Debi Stearns - Member
This committee meets to review and monitor interventions for achievement, social emotional development, and college career planning. The committee also reviews recommended changes to the student handbook.
Teaching & Learning Committee
Mark Johnson - Chair, Evelyn Gleason - Vice-Chair, Larry Canning - Member
This committee meets to review class sizes and to plan and set goals for curriculum. Attention is given to local, state and national changes.
